I don’t know about you guys, but the default feature of not checking all IMAP folders for new messages in Thunderbird is REALLY annoying. Mainly because I forget to check them all while reading emails, and eventually end up missing stuff because of it. Well depending on your version, these two options will make Thunderbird check ALL folders as one would expect when looking for new messages under an account.
Both of these must be boolean, with a value of “true”. Depending on your Thunderbird version, the Config Editor is in two different places:
Thunderbird 3: Edit -> Preferences -> Advanced Tab -> Config Editor
Thunderbird 2: Tools -> Options -> Advanced -> Config Editor
Hope this helps someone, it sure drove me nuts for a while until I finally decided looking into it 🙂
